Data License & Usage
Last updated: 7 November 2026
This licence describes how you may use GIS datasets purchased from GEOINTEL LAND.
Commercial licence (standard)
- Use the data internally within your organisation for planning, analysis, design, reporting and decision-making.
- Include maps and derived visual outputs in reports, presentations and approval submissions, with attribution.
- Share data with consultants working on the same project, under the same conditions.
Not permitted without written agreement
- Reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the raw data files.
- Publishing the data as a downloadable or queryable dataset.
Third-party sources
Some datasets are derived from third-party or open sources. GEOINTEL LAND does not claim ownership of third-party source data and does not represent raw third-party data as proprietary.
Where data is derived from OpenStreetMap, it is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). You must keep the attribution “© OpenStreetMap contributors” and, if you publicly distribute an adapted database, share it under the ODbL. These obligations take precedence over the restrictions above.
Accuracy
Attributes, coverage and accuracy vary by country and source. Data is provided as decision-support information and does not replace official surveys or records.
